Keral Verma Subharti College of Science, Swami Vivekanand Subharti University (SVSU), Meerut, organized a Guest Lecture on “Green Initiative and Innovation for Safe Environment Leading to Better Plants, Soil, and Human Health” as part of its continuous efforts to promote academic excellence and environmental awareness among students, faculty, and staff.

The program commenced with the inauguration and lamp lighting ceremony, setting a positive and scholarly tone for the event. Prof. (Dr.) Ashok Kumar Chaubey, Dean, Faculty of Science, felicitated the distinguished guest, Prof. (Dr.) Rakesh Pandey, Professor Emeritus, CIMAP-CSIR, Lucknow, by presenting an eco-friendly token of respect.

Prof. (Dr.) Rakesh Pandey delivered a highly insightful and engaging lecture focused on the significance of green initiatives and innovations in enhancing plant, soil, and human health. He emphasized how sustainable environmental practices and innovative technologies can address critical challenges such as soil erosion, pollution, and climate change, ultimately contributing to a healthier ecosystem and a more sustainable future. His lecture was rich in scientific insights and real-world applications, leaving the audience with a deeper understanding and appreciation of environmental stewardship.

Following the lecture, an interactive questioning session was conducted, providing students and faculty members the opportunity to engage directly with Dr. Pandey and seek clarifications on key aspects of his presentation.

The event concluded with a formal Vote of Thanks delivered by Dr. Ravindra Kumar Jain, who expressed deep gratitude towards the guest speaker, the organizing Cultural Committee, faculty members, non-teaching staff, and students for their enthusiastic participation and dedicated efforts, which collectively ensured the success of the program. The entire event was efficiently organized by the Cultural Committee of the KVSCOS, under the guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Ashok Kumar Chaubey, Dean, KVSCOS.
