Guest lecture on “Judo Technique”
organized at Swami Vivekanand Subharti University
A special guest lecture was organized by the Department of Physical Education, Swami Vivekanand Subharti University on 14th June 2025. The topic of this lecture was “Judo Technique”, in which the students of the university were made aware of the nuances of this traditional martial art.
Dr. Bhavna Timal, Associate Professor, Sharda Johri Degree College, Kasganj, Uttar Pradesh was invited as a guest speaker in the field of Judo in this program. He threw light on the basic techniques of Judo, its physical and mental benefits, and the rules of the competition. He also conducted a practical session with the students, in which he demonstrated some important moves and safety measures.
Department Head of Physical Education Department, Lieutenant Professor Dr. Sandeep Kumar said that the purpose of such programs is to promote the spirit of self-defense in the students and motivate them towards sports. Many students and faculty members of the university participated enthusiastically in the lecture.
At the end of the program, the guest speaker was thanked by presenting a memento. On this occasion, the university administration also expressed its commitment to organize such events regularly.
