Celebrating Hariyali Teej
The Department of Education, Faculty of Education, Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, Meerut, celebrated Hariyali Teej with great enthusiasm and cultural spirit on Saturday, July 26, 2025. Prof. (Dr.) Pramod Kumar Sharma, honourable Vice Chancellor of SVSU and Prof. (Dr.) Shalya Raj, Chief Executive Officer, SVSU Meerut extended warm wishes to all the students and teachers on Hariyali Teej.
The event commenced with a lamp lighting ceremony, gracefully conducted by Prof. (Dr.) Sandeep Kumar, Dean, Faculty of Education, and Dr. Anoj Raj, Professor, Department of Education, in the presence of Dr. Reshu Rani, Event Coordinator and Assistant Professor, Department of Education. All faculty members and students of the department joined together in marking the vibrant celebration. Prof. (Dr.) Indira Singh, Head Department of Education extended warm wishes to all the students and teachers.
The session officially began with an inspiring speech by Prof. (Dr.) Sandeep Kumar, where he highlighted the cultural and spiritual significance of Hariyali Teej. He extended warm wishes to all the female faculty members, appreciating their contributions and presence on this auspicious occasion.
Dhani, a student of B.El.Ed., III Semester, conducted the anchoring in an engaging and effective manner, keeping the audience connected throughout the program. Meanwhile, students Itisha, Priyanshi, Swati, Fiza, and Mansi enthusiastically participated by applying Mehndi and performing Teej songs, reflecting the festive essence of the day.
Towards the end, Dr. Mumtaz Sheikh, Associate Professor, DoE,FoE SVSU delivered the Vote of Thanks, expressing gratitude to all present for their valuable presence and support in making the event a grand success. Esteemed faculty members who graced the occasion included:
