Hindi Diwas Celebration 2024
On 14th September 2024, the Sardar Patel Subharti Institute of Law, under the aegis of the Literary Club and in association with the Cultural Committee of the Faculty of Law, Swami VivekanandSubharti University, celebrated Hindi Diwas with great enthusiasm.
To mark the occasion, a Short Clip Speech Competition was organized. The competition was designed to foster awareness about the use of Hindi in the legal domain, encouraging participants to present their thoughts on one of two themes:
- Hindi as the Language of Law: Challenges and Opportunities
- Constitutional Provisions and the Status of Hindi as the Official Language
Students were required to submit original, creative video clips in Hindi with a maximum duration of 90 seconds. Each video had to include a brief introduction, specifying the student’s name, class, and chosen theme. Submissions were accepted through pen drives up until 13th September 2024, ensuring all participants had ample time to prepare.
Results and Awards:
The results of the competition were announced in a ceremony held in the Moot Court Hall at 11:00 A.M. on Hindi Diwas. The top five winners were awarded for their exceptional performances, and all participants were given certificates of participation as a token of appreciation.The event was judged by Ms. Sonal Jain, Member Cultural Committee and Ms. Ana Sisodia, Convenor Literary Club. The decision of the judges, which was final and non-challengeable, reflected the high standards of the competition.

The Hindi Diwas celebration was a grand success, bringing attention to the importance of Hindi as a language of law and governance. The Short Clip Speech Competition allowed students to engage with critical issues surrounding Hindi’s role in the Indian legal framework, while also showcasing their linguistic skills and creative expression.
The event not only honoured Hindi Diwas but also highlighted the rich constitutional heritage that defines the status of Hindi as the official language of India. Through such initiatives, Sardar Patel Subharti Institute of Law continues to promote the linguistic and cultural diversity that forms an integral part of our national identity.
