Every year National Hindi Diwas is celebrated in the various institutions of government and private sector. Same was celebrated in the Subharti University. This year the Department of Journalism & Mass Communication of the university celebrated the “Hindi Diwas” by organizing a poetry recital competition for the departmental students. In this programme student, teaching and non teaching staff took part with full energy. participated in this programme.
The Programme was started with the lamp lighting in front of Goddess saraswati and welcome note from HoD Dr. Gunjan Sharma Ma’am read by the Host of the event. In her welcome note Dr. Gunjan Sharma, HoD of the department wishes everyone on the occasion of Hindi Diwas. She also addressed the need to make it a practice of writing correct Hindi.
In his address Prof. Ashok Tyagi said that Hindi is the most scientific and proven language of the universe. He also recited a Ghazal from his book “Mujhe Kuch Kahna hai”. He asked & suggested the students and faculty members present there to learn the language by heart not by mind.
On the other hand Mr. Ram Prakash Tiwari had thrown the light on history of why the Hindi diwas is celebrated on 14th September. He also asked the students to focuss on Hindi language learning as well as typing for the future.
Mr. Madhur Sharma said that we should be proud that in Hindi we have “Munshi Premchand” who is decorated with the title of “Katha Samrat” and novel king of Hindi. In his vote of thanks Mr. Shubham Kumar Sah, the coordinator of the event thanked everyone and he also urged the students to keep in mind the things told by veteran professors. A large number of students participated in the poetry recital competition. Aniket Kumar from BJMC 1st year stood first and Kanak Tripathi from second year got second place while there is tie for the third place where Karishma Aziz from 2nd year and Arpit Upadhyay from 1st year got the third place.
