Report on Inauguration Ceremony of the Centre of Excellence for Skill Development at Faculty of Engineering & Technology, SVSU, Meerut
On June 12, 2024, the Faculty of Engineering and Technology at Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, Meerut, hosted the inauguration of the Centre of Excellence for Skill Development, powered by CETPA Infotech Pvt. Ltd., Noida. This Center aims to create a dynamic environment for student skill development, equipped with computer laboratories and advanced software to offer students and faculty unparalleled opportunities for professional growth.
The inauguration ceremony was overseen by Dr. Manoj Kapil, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology. The esteemed chief guest, Mr. Abhishek Pandey, Vice Chairman of the Meerut Development Authority, inaugurated the Centre of Excellence. The ceremony was also attended by Major General (Dr.) G.K. Thapliyal, Vice Chancellor of the University, and Dr. Krishnamurthy, the Executive Officer of the University.
In his welcome address, Major General (Dr.) G.K. Thapliyal emphasized the importance of technical advancements and the opportunities they create. Chief guest Mr. Abhishek Pandey, in his inspiring speech, highlighted the critical role of educational institutions in shaping the nation’s future. He praised Swami Vivekanand Subharti University for its proactive approach in establishing the Centre of Excellence, describing it as a beacon of wisdom and competence.
Dr. Manoj Kapil, in his vote of thanks, expressed his gratitude to the chief guest, the Vice Chancellor, the Executive Officer, and all the deans of the university’s various institutions for their attendance. He particularly congratulated Er. Abhishek Tiwari and Dr. Shravan Kumar Garg for their exceptional contributions to the Centre of Excellence. He also thanked Dr. Archita Bhatnagar, Dr. Amit Kishor, Dr. Sanjeev Tyagi, Dr. Ashima Arora, Er. Parag Rastogi, Er. Simarpreet Kaur, Dr. Tarun Kumar, Mr. Amardeep and Dr. Mukesh Ruhela for their contributions to the event’s success.
