Miss Shafali Verma (Indian Women’s Cricket Team)
During the interaction session at the Department of Physical Education of Swami Vivekananda University, Shafali Verma, a young player of the Indian International Women’s Cricket Team, visited the University. Shefali Verma is a student of BPES course running in the Department of Physical Education (FOE), Swami Vivekanand Subharti University. The program started with Saraswati Vandana and lighting of the lamp by the guests. Thereafter, Department Head of Education Department, Dr. Anoj Raj presented his welcome address to Indian female cricketer Shafali Verma and her advisor Ms Poonam Bhardwaj. Shefali Verma met the students and narrated her experiences. Shefali Verma spoke about her cricket career and struggles which inspired the students. Shafali Verma, who is a leading batsman of the Indian women’s cricket team, has achieved many important achievements in her career. She has made many memorable performances in Test Cricket, ODI and T20 International. During this tour, she answered the questions of the students and gave information about the game. The purpose of his visit was to inspire students to maintain a balance between sports and education. On this occasion, Vice Chancellor of the University, Dr. G.K. Thapliyal and Chief Executive Officer Dr. Shalya Raj also met Indian female cricketer Shafali Verma and blessed her for her bright future. On this occasion, Dr. Mukesh Rohilla from Engineering College, Dr. Manju Adhikari , Dr. Praveen Kumar, Dr. Deepak Raghav, Dr. Atul Tiwari, Dr. Salim Javed, Dr. Ankit Singh Jadon and Mr. Kapil Shakya from Department of Physical Education, Dr. Rahul Sirohi, Dr. Sangeeta Rani and Mrs Rishu Rani from the Department of Education were present.
