International Olympic Day Celebration
International Olympic Day was celebrated on 23rd June 2025 under the aegis of the Department of Physical Education of Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. On this occasion, a basketball tournament was organized at the General Mohan Singh Playground of the University. Lieutenant Professor (Dr.) Sandeep Kumar from the Department of Physical Education was present as the chief guest. Lieutenant Professor Dr. Sandeep Kumar, Dean of the Faculty of Education and Head of the Department of Physical Education, said that International Olympic Day is not just a day to remember history, but a day seen as a global movement that makes people active, aware and inspired. This day honors all those who live the Olympic values – excellence, friendship and respect in their lives. This special day promotes global unity, sportsmanship and cultural harmony, as well as inspires people of all age groups to adopt an active lifestyle for physical and mental health. He also thanked the organizing team of this program and wished them all the best for organizing such events in the future as well. All the teachers of the Department of Physical Education were present on this occasion.
