“Surya Namaskar – Group Training Session”
On the occasion of the 11th International Day of Yoga, Subharti University is celebrating Yoga Sangam and Yoga Pakhwada from June 8th to June 21st, 2025, under the theme “Yoga for One Earth & One Health.”
On June 18th, as part of the Yoga Pakhwada celebrations, a group training session on “Surya Namaskar” was conducted from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM. The event was organized by Maharishi Aurobindo Subharti College and Hospital of Naturopathy & Yogic Sciences, aiming to instill discipline, improve physical fitness, and promote the spiritual significance of Surya Namaskar among students.
The session was led by Dr. Suhas B, Assistant Professor and Yoga Trainer, MASCHNYS, who demonstrated the 12-step sequence of Surya Namaskar with emphasis on synchronized breathing, posture alignment, and mental focus. The participants engaged in multiple rounds of the sequence, fostering energy, flexibility, and internal awareness.
The activity was coordinated by Dr. Abhijith K B, Dr. Abhay Kumar, and Dr. Sneha, ensuring smooth conduct and active participation.
A total of 156 students enthusiastically took part in the session, reflecting the growing interest in yoga as a holistic lifestyle approach.
