The Rangeela Cultural Club (FOE), Department of Physical Education and Department of Education, Swami Vivekanand Subharti University celebrated Janmashtami on 18th August 2022
Professor (Dr) Sandeep Kumar, Dean, Faculty of Education, presented his valuable thoughts on Lord Krishna and explained the significance of celebrating His birth. He informed that the “Occasion of the birth of Krishna” is also known simply as “Gokulasthmi” or “Krishan Janamasthmi”.
Prof. (Dr.) Anoj Raj, Head, Department of Education explained the importance of Janmashtami. He stated that it is an annual Hindu festival that celebrates the birth of Krishna, the eighth avatar of Vishnu. People observe fast and pray to God on this day.
Mr. Sanjeev Kumar, Mr. Rahul Kumar Mr. Ashok Kumar Yadav, Dr. Ruby, Mrs. Sangeeta, Miss Nisha Saini, Mrs. Kusum, Miss Soniya, and Dr. Ragini, Mrs. Reeba Faculty of Education were present at this occasion. Students Arushi, Mahak, Nisha Saharan, Pallavi Poonia Mohd Sagaf, Mohd. Aman Kaif, Vijay, and Vijay Pegwal, Bhavna also participated in this celebration with full enthusiasm.
Professor (Dr) Sandeep Kumar Dean, Faculty of Education appreciated the celebration of this event -organized by the convener Dr. Manju Adhikari and Mrs. Reshu, and the other members of the Cultural Committee.
Towards the end, Dr. Manju Adhikari proposed a vote of thanks to all the college students and academic and non-academic staff for their contribution and for making the celebration successful.
