Bhikaji Cama Subharti College of Hotel Management, Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, Meerut, successfully organized an institutional-level Alumni Meet titled “Jointure” on 25th April 2026 at 11:00 AM within the college premises. The event was conducted under the aegis of the Vivacultura Student Club and was efficiently coordinated by Mr. Rohil Bhatnagar and Dr. Garima Jain. The initiative was designed as an interactive alumni engagement platform with a focused orientation towards networking, mentorship, and career development in the hospitality sector.
The core objective of the Alumni Meet was to reinforce the relationship between the institution and its alumni while simultaneously creating a knowledge-sharing ecosystem for current students. The event specifically aimed to reconnect alumni with their alma mater, facilitate professional networking, provide real-time industry exposure, and establish mentorship linkages. Additionally, it sought to highlight alumni achievements and strengthen institutional identity through continued engagement.
The session witnessed participation from 15 alumni representing diverse graduating batches along with faculty members. The program commenced with a formal welcome, followed by structured interaction sessions where alumni shared detailed accounts of their professional journeys, workplace experiences, and insights into the evolving dynamics of the hospitality industry. Particular emphasis was placed on emerging trends, skill enhancement, adaptability, and industry expectations.
A significant component of the meet was the interactive discussion segment, wherein students engaged directly with alumni through questions related to internships, career pathways, skill development, and professional challenges. This two-way communication enabled practical learning beyond the classroom framework. The session further transitioned into an informal networking phase, allowing students and alumni to build professional connections and exchange ideas in a less formal environment, thereby strengthening institutional bonding.
The outcomes of the activity were notably constructive. The event effectively enhanced alumni relations by fostering a sense of belonging and long-term association with the institution. Students gained valuable exposure to real-world industry expectations, which contributed to improved career awareness and preparedness. The networking opportunities created a foundation for future collaborations in terms of mentorship, internships, and placements. Furthermore, alumni success stories served as a motivational catalyst for students, encouraging professional aspiration and goal orientation.
Participant feedback analysis indicated a highly positive response, with approximately 96% of students finding the session informative and motivating, 94% appreciating the direct interaction with industry professionals, and 92% expressing interest in the continuation of such initiatives. Alumni participants also demonstrated a strong willingness to contribute to future academic engagements, including guest lectures, workshops, and mentorship programs.
From an academic and institutional perspective, the Alumni Meet aligns with the broader objective of integrating theoretical learning with practical industry exposure. It reinforces experiential learning frameworks and enhances employability by bridging the gap between academia and the hospitality industry. The activity also contributes to institutional development by establishing a sustainable alumni engagement model.
In conclusion, “Jointure: Alumni Meet” emerged as a strategically significant initiative that successfully connected past and present stakeholders of the institution. It not only facilitated knowledge exchange and professional networking but also laid the groundwork for long-term alumni collaboration and student development within the hospitality domain.
