Guest Lecture On Gender Mainstreaming Organized At Faculty Of Engineering And Technology Under University Gender Sensitization Cell, Swami Vivekanand Subharti University
Faculty of Engineering & Technology under University Gender Sensitization Cell organized a Guest lecture on Gender mainstreaming delivered by Ms. Ritu Verma, Sr. Anchor, DD News on 12th October 2022.
The speaker talked about adopting and strengthening sound policies and enforceable legislation for the promotion of gender equality and the empowerment of all women and girls at all levels. The objective of the programme was to aware the general public and youth of the nation for the gender balance, inclusive business environments and improved working conditions and how much they are needed.
At the end of the event badges were distributed to all Gender champions of different colleges of the University where Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Major Gen. Dr. G.K. Thapliyal highlighted the importance on gender equality. Dr. Manoj Kapil, Dean Faculty of Engineering & Technology praised the efforts taken by Ms. Sarika Abhay, in charge of University Gender Sensitization Cell from Management College , Dr. Sweta Bhardwaj, Nodal officer of the Cell in Faculty of Engineering & Technology and Dr. Aruna Bansal HOD Applied Sciences in Faculty of Engineering & Technology who were present at the event. Gender champions of different colleges and more than 80 students along with 20 faculty members and 40 staff members made the event a successful one.
