Legal Literacy and Awareness Camp
Sardar Patel Subharti Institute of Law and Panna Dhai Maa Subharti Nursing college organized a Legal Literacy Awareness Camp on 14/03/23 to spread the awareness in village Baleni , District Baghpat on the occasion of Women’s Empowerment Week under the guidance and directions of Former Justice Sh. Rajesh Chandra, Director, Prof. (Dr.) Vaibhav Goel Bhartiya, Dean & Principal, Faculty of Law and Capt.(Dr.) Geeta Parwanda, Dean, Subharti Nursing college, Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, Meerut. Chief speaker Prof. (Dr.) Reena Bishnoi delivered a talk on women’s rights, social legislation and Government welfare programs for the women. She also spoke on the crime against females such domestic violence, dowry, harassment at work place, Child Marriage etc. and on the provisions of free legal aid for the acid attack survivors.
Prof. (Dr.) Sartaj Ahmad has discussed the social issues of women like Female foeticide, malnutrition, anemia, gender discrimination, inequality, dowry system, domestic violence, crimes against women etc. Ms Chhaya Yadav and Ms Archana delivered a talk on the health status of women, dietary patterns and lifestyle. They encouraged pregnant women for Antenatal natal check ups regularly. A poster exhibition and role play was conducted by the nursing and ANM students.
