National Periodontist Day Celebration
National Periodontist Day, 23rd February 2024 was celebrated by the Department of Periodontology & Implantology, Subharti Dental College & Hospital.
Events were organized, starting from 19/02/2024 – 23/02/2024.
- Camp at Shree Vivekanand KusthAashram (Leprosy House), Meerut,
- Oral Health Awareness Mega Camp, Sardhana
- Mega Oral Health Awareness Program Organized in Subharti Dental College & Hospital. Daily Sample Distribution of Toothpaste was done at OPD or Entire Week.
A total number of 707 patients were examined.
EVENT-I (Leprosy House)
As a part of Pink Health Initiative by our Indian Society of Periodontology (I.S.P.), Periosubharti organized an Oral Health Awareness Camp with free distribution of medicated toothpaste by Dr. Mayur Kaushik, (Professor & Head),Dr. Nitin Tomar (Professor), Dr. Yashica Dhingra & Dr. Nancy Saxena (Post Graduates), Department of Periodontology
EVENT-II (Oral Health Awareness Camp, Sardhana)
Periosubharti, SDC&H joins the drive “SAY NO TO BLEEDING GUMS”- A PINK HEALTH INITIATIVE by INDIAN SOCIETY OF PERIODONTOLOGY (I.S.P.)”and organizedan Oral Health Awareness Mega Camp in Sardhana by Dr. Nazar Rana (Reader) & Dr. Roopse (Lecturer). Free Samples of Toothpaste along with Oral Hygiene Educational Pamphlets were distributed to more than 100 patients. Also, Ultrasonic Scaling was done in Mobile Dental Van.
EVENT-III (Mega Oral Health Awareness Program & Quiz)
Mega Oral Health Awareness Program & Quiz was organized in SDC&H in which demonstration of correct toothbrushing technique to patients was given by Dr. Mayur Kaushik, (Professor & Head). Also, Elimination of Myth regarding Ultrasonic Scaling was done by Dr. Sameer Ahmed (Reader) & Dr. Mehvish Saleem (Reader).
Demonstration of Mouthwashes use was given by Dr. Soumya Sharma & Dr. Ginni Verma (Post Graduate Students).
