National Symposium on Essential Newborn Care

Theme:- Essential NewBorn Care 

Time:- 9:30am -2:30 pm 

Venue:- 4^th Floor, LT 4- CSSH,

Organizers:- SOMI, Himalaya Products, Panna Dhai Maa Subharti Nursing College Essential Newborn Care The care provided to a newborn immediately after delivery include the time between births to 24 hours of care.

Programme activities:-

1. Registration: The Total No of Registered Participants was150 Registration.  The participants were ( Staff Nurses ANM, GNM, POST BSC) 
2. Inaugural Session: The Inaugural session has been started at 10 am with the Lighting of the Lamp The Dignitaries were Ms. Bandana Das SOMI Secretory,  Our VC Maj. Gen. Prof. Dr. GK Thapliyal, Prof. Dr. Mamta Tyagi HOD of OBS Gyne Subharti Hospital, and Prof. Dr. Geeta Parwanda. 
3. Greeting the Dignatrious by Welcome Address: Our Principal mam Prof . Dr. Geeta Parwanda Mam Welcomed the Chief guest at all the gatherings. 
4. Keynote Address: Ms. Bandana Das SOMI (Society Of Midwife) Secretory Has delivered Keynote Address on How to reduce the Neonatal Mortality Rate & Maternal Mortality Rate. 
5. Special Address: Was delivered by our Hon’ble VC Maj. Gen. Prof. GK Thapliyal. Sir was delivering a Special address on the importance of Essential Newborn Care and Motivated the Participants on how to incorporate it into clinical. 

The inaugural session was ended and the Symposium Lecture Session has  Started 

Session 1: 1st session was started by Prof. Dr. Mamta Tyagi, HOD OBG Department, Subharti Hospital. The Topic of the Presentation was Essential Newborn Care.

Session 2:  2nd Session Of the symposium was Common gaps in Essential Newborn Care at Facility Level by Prof. Dr. Geeta Parwanda. 

Session  3: 3rd Session of the Symposium was Role of Midwives in Essential Newborn Care which was explained by Lt. Col. Smita from Meerut Military Hospital. 

Session 4: 4th Session Mr. Neer Chhajer from Himaya products gave a speech on the products available for newborn babies. 

Session 5: Session 5 was Drill on Essential Newborn Care which was conducted by the Department of OBG nursing and pediatric Nursing Faculties the Drill was led by Ms. Prof. Infant Rani Augustin and other faculties also participated and did it. 

Vote of Thanks: A vote of thanks was given by Mr. Manikandan Asst. Prof. He thanked all the dignitaries and the participants. 

Distribution of Himalaya Baby Care Product: Himalaya company has sponsored kits of baby care to the participants; nearly 150 kits were distributed. 

Distribution of Certificate: The Offline certificate was distributed to the Resource persons & to the participants.
