One-Day Workshop on “ Décorative Accessory Design”
The Department of Interior Design at Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, Meerut successfully organized a one-day workshop on “Décorative Accessory Design” on 09 March 2026 at the “Amrita Shergill Conference Hall. The workshop was organized under the guidance of Principal Prof. (Dr.) Pintu Mishra and Head of Department Dr. Neha Singh.
The program began with a formal opening ceremony, where dignitaries welcomed the participants and highlighted the importance of creativity and practical learning in the field of design. They encouraged students to actively participate in such activities to enhance their practical knowledge and professional skills.
The workshop was conducted by resource person Geetu Sharma, an experienced art expert associated with Pidilite. During the session, she demonstrated various techniques for creating innovative “Home decor accessory design”, guiding students on how to creatively use different materials to enhance interior spaces.
A group of enthusiastic students along with all the esteemed faculty member from the Interior Design, Fashion Design, and Textile Design departments actively participated in the workshop and gained valuable hands-on experience. The session helped students understand contemporary design concepts while improving their creativity and technical skills.
The workshop was organized by Ms. Shailja Sindhay and coordinated by faculty members Neetu Teotia and Monika Verma, who guided the students throughout the session and ensured the smooth conduct of the program.
Such initiatives by the department aim to promote practical learning, innovation, and creative thinking among students in the field of interior and accessory design.
