Two-Day Faculty Induction Programme 2026 Successfully Concluded at Swami Vivekanand Subharti University
The Human Resource Development Centre (HRDC) of Swami Vivekanand Subharti University (SVSU) successfully organized a comprehensive two-day Faculty Induction Programme on 6th and 7th March 2026 for the newly joined faculty members. More than 60 faculty members from various faculties and departments participated enthusiastically in the programme.
The entire programme was organized under the gracious patronage and blessings of Respected Founders, Hon’ble Chancellor MAM, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Respected CEO MAM, Respected Pro Vice Chancellor, and Dean, Faculty of Management & Commerce & Chairman HRDC, Prof. (Dr.) Padma Misra.
Day 1: Academic & Institutional Orientation (6th March 2026)
Venue: MMM Auditorium, SITE
The day began with a traditional lighting of the lamp by dignitaries, followed by a warm welcome address by Dr. Sarika, Associate Professor, FoMC.
Prof. (Dr.) Padma Misra, Officiating Dean-FoMC & Director-HRDC, delivered an insightful overview of the Faculty Induction Programme 2026.
Hon’ble Vice Chancellor addressed the gathering and strongly emphasized the adoption of creative and engaging teaching methodologies along with a focused shift towards research-based teaching and learning.
Eminent resource persons conducted highly enriching sessions on key academic and administrative aspects:
- Prof. (Dr.) Prabhat Kumar, Academic Coordinator – Setting of Question Papers & Evaluation of Answer Sheets
- Dr. Nisha Singh, Associate Professor, FoMC – Ensuring Quality in Student-Teacher Relationship (Mentor-Mentee System)
- Prof. (Dr.) Kapil Verma, Director IQAC – University Foundational Principles, Core Values, Vision & Mission, Organogram, Best Practices & Faculty Welfare Programmes
- Dr. Ashima, Associate Professor, CSE Department, SITE – Innovative Teaching & Learning Methodologies
- Dr. Anirudh Srivastava – Research, Innovations & Outcomes
The day concluded with a formal Vote of Thanks by Dr. Gaurab Kumar Sharma, Member Secretary, HRDC.
Day 2: “Know Your University” Campus Tour (7th March 2026)
The second day was dedicated to acquainting the new faculty with the university’s rich infrastructure and facilities.
More than 60 participants assembled at AVGSCMC at 9:45 am sharp and embarked on an extensive guided tour under the able leadership of Dr. Gaurab Kumar Sharma and Mr. Ashish Pant from Subharti College of Management & Commerce (SCMC).
The faculty members visited several iconic and functional landmarks of the university:
Kargil Shaheed Upwan, INA Shaheed Smarak, Maanglaya Convention Centre, Art Gallery, Faculty of Fine Arts, Sanskriti Vibhag, Ishwarchandra Vidyasagar School (for wards of Group D staff) , STP Plant, Bodhi Upwan, Akshay Vat Nursery etc,
During the tour, participants were thoroughly briefed about all academic, research, cultural, residential, sports, and welfare facilities available on the sprawling campus.
The two-day Faculty Induction Programme 2026 was highly appreciated by all participants. It successfully integrated the new faculty members into the Subharti family by orienting them with the university’s ethos, values, academic systems, research culture, and world-class infrastructure.
Prof. (Dr.) Padma Misra, Director-HRDC, expressed her satisfaction over the successful completion of the programme and extended her best wishes to all the new faculty members for a rewarding and enriching journey at SVSU.
