Online Alumni Talk on “Overcoming Challenges in Sports Career” Organized by Department of Physical Education
The Department of Physical Education of Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, Meerut, successfully organized an Online Alumni Talk on the topic “Overcoming Challenges in Sports Career” on 14th February 2026. The program was conducted with the objective of guiding students about career opportunities in sports and helping them understand the real-life challenges faced by professionals in the field.
The expert speaker for the session was Dr. Naman Kumar Saraswat, Sports Officer at Government College, Makedone, Ujjain (M.P.). As a distinguished alumnus, Dr. Saraswat shared his professional journey, experiences, and the obstacles he encountered while building a career in sports administration and physical education. He emphasized the importance of dedication, consistency, professional qualifications, and skill development in achieving success in the competitive sports sector.
The program was organized under the blessings of Prof. Sandeep Kumar, Dean, Faculty of Education, who appreciated the department’s initiative in connecting present students with alumni for career mentorship. Dr. Manju Adhikari, Head of the Department of Physical Education, also motivated students to remain focused, disciplined, and confident while pursuing careers in sports and physical education.
Faculty members and students actively participated in the interactive session. The talk concluded with a question–answer round, where students clarified their doubts regarding career pathways, government job opportunities, higher education, and professional growth in sports.
The Online Alumni Talk proved to be highly inspiring and informative, strengthening the bond between alumni and the department while providing valuable career guidance to students.
