Online Entrance Test for Admission in Ph.D. Programs

Applications are invited for admission under regular mode as per UGC (Minimum Standard & Procedures for award of Ph.D Degrees) Regulations, 2016 & SVSU Ph.D.

Residential / Non-Residential Ph.D. Program in [Medical Anatomy = 08, Community Medicine = 09, Community Health Nursing = 03, Pathology = 12, Pharmacology = 03, Physiology = 06, Medical Orthopaedics = 04, Radio-Diagnosis = 03, Molecular Medicine = 01, Molecular Biology and Biotechnology = 02, Dental Science (Orthodontics & Dentofacial Orthopedics) = 16, Dental Science (Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery) = 12, Dental Science (Oral Medicine) = 06, Nursing = 02, Physics = 21, Chemistry = 09, Mathematics = 32, Biotechnology = 14, Zoology = 32, Botany = 15, Computer Science & Engg. = 16, Environmental Science = 08, Mechanical Engg. = 08, Pharmaceutical Sciences = 24, Management = 14, Commerce = 08, Hotel Management = 04, Education = 02, Physical Education = 05, Law = 07, Fine Arts = 17, Performing Arts = 04, Fashion & Textile Designing = 01, Library and Information Science = 01, Home Science = 02, Journalism and Mass Communication = 02 & Physiotherapy = 05, Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar Chair = 02 (at subharti Law College)]. 

Duration – Minimum three (03) Yrs.

Eligibility – at least 55% marks in post-graduation (wherever marks allocated). For Medical subjects MD/MS/PG Diploma or MSc. Medicine is a relevant subject.

Note: – Relaxation of 5% marks in eligibility criteria for SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/Differently–abled categories candidates will be given.

1. Residential Ph.D. Program

Candidates under this category shall be appointed as Junior Research Fellow / Senior Research Fellow. They shall conduct research in Subharti Central Research & Incubation Center and/ or research laboratories of Departments of Subharti University. The JRF and SRF shall be paid fellowship allowance by S.V. Subharti University if not by another outside funding agency.

1. Non-residential Ph.D. Program 

The regular faculty of Subharti University and outside candidates, registered for Ph.D. program in Subharti University, shall fall within this category of Non-residential Ph.D. Program. These candidates shall be required to fulfil all eligibility criteria and qualify the Entrance Examination, interview and also other norms as laid down by the UGC from time to time, as well as the requirement of RAC.

Prescribed application form is available at the Registrar’s office or may be downloaded from the University website: www.subharti.org/phd-registration, Duly filled application form (in hard copy) should reach Additional Registrar’s office along with required documents and non-refundable DD worth Rs. 1500/- (including test fee) in favour of ‘Swami Vivekanand Subharti University’ payable at Meerut, latest by 06th September 2021. Amount may also be paid online through the above link. 

Date & Timings:- Entrance Test for Ph.D. programs will be conducted online on Sunday the 19th September 2021 only.

Applications of non-eligible candidates & incomplete application forms will not be considered. Login details for Entrance Test will be issued only to eligible candidates & sent through email only.

Only qualified candidates of Entrance Test will be called for an Interview, Merit list will be declared after Interview. The date and time of Interview will be notified separately. 

The applicants who have qualified UGC-JRF/CSIR/NET/SLET/GATE are required to indicate accordingly in the application form for exemption from the written part of the Ph.D. Entrance Test.

Test Pattern: – The Entrance Test shall be of hundred (100) multiple choice questions. 50 questions shall be on Research Methodology, intended to assess research aptitude of the candidate.  The Remaining 50 questions will be from the subject for which candidate is applying.

Procedure of online Registration & fee submission for PhD program: – 

• Read all the attached documents before starting the registration process to make sure you are eligible/ agree for the PhD Program from the SVSU. 
• Download the Ph.D. Application form, fill all the necessary details, attach the required documents (self-attested) & submit to the office of Additional Registrar (Academics), Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, Subhartipuram, N.H.-58, Delhi Haridwar Bypass Road, Meerut. Pin- 250005 through post or by-hand before  06th September 2021.
• For Registration & online fee submission – Press ‘Registration’ tab at the bottom.
• Fill in all the necessary details to register for the PhD program. 
• On successful submission of registration form, you will be directed to the payment page. 
• After successful completion of your payment, please note down & take printout of the transaction details for further reference.
