Organization of elocution competition at the conclusion of 75 day Indian Language Festival
The inter-collegiate speech competition on the topic “Indian Languages and Mass Communication ” was organized by Ganesh Shankar Vidyarthi Subharti Department of Journalism and Mass Communication of Swami Vivekanand Subharti University. This speech competition was organized on the occasion of the culmination of 75 Days Indian Language Festival (भारतीय भाषा उत्सव) to pay tribute to the renowned Tamil Poet and Freedom Fighter as well as a journalist Mahakavi Chinnaswami Subramania Bharati on his birth anniversary. 11th December is celebrated as Bhartiya Bhasha Diwas. This campaign was started from 28th September 2023 for 75 days. During this various events related to Indian Languages were held in the different universities of the country.
Head of Department Prof. (Dr.) S.C. Thaledi explains about the importance of Indian Languages while communicating with each other. He motivated students to respect and use their mother language in daily life for cultural exchange among each other.
All the participants shared their views and opinions on the given topic through Speech. Each participant urged the audience to use their mother language and to feel proud of the rich culture of our Country. Ketaki Tomar, student of B.El.Ed. stood first in this competition while second position was secured by Megha from Nursing College, and Prince Pandey from Polytechnic College got the third place. Students from different colleges participated enthusiastically in the speech competition.
The program was hosted by Palak Tandon of BA-JMC 2nd Year. Professor Ashok Tyagi, Harsh Tomar Assistant Professor from MCRPV REWA campus and Ram Prakash Tiwari were in the role of Judges in this competition. Ram Prakash Tiwari, Assistant Professor from Department of Journalism and Mass Communication welcomed the guests and participants.
At the end, Coordinator of this program Preeti Singh, Assistant Professor gave the thank you note to the dignitaries present there, she also emphasized on the importance of Indian Languages in the career of students. Dr. Gunjan Sharma, Madhur Sharma & Shikeb Majeed along with students of various colleges were present during the program.
