Bhikaji Cama Subharti College of Hotel Management in collaboration with Food Safety and Drug Administration, Government of Uttar Pradesh hosted the 8th International Conference on Advanced Technologies and Innovations in Tourism and Hospitality Industry (ATITHI-2023) on December 9 and 10, 2023.

The conference started with a warm welcome by Dr. Shiv Mohan Verma, Principal, Bhikaji Cama Subharti College of Hotel Management. Dr. Verma expressed his gratitude to all the attendees and guests for their presence at the event, setting a positive atmosphere for the conference.

Honorable Vice Chancellor, Major General (Dr.) G.K. Thapliyal, SM (Retd.), shared his views on the importance of the conference, said, this gathering is important to further our understanding of innovations in the tourism and hospitality sector. Which plays an important role in our globalized world.

Honorable CEO Madam, Dr. Shalya Raj highlighted the importance of hospitality and invited the guests and attendees to visit Subharti University and The Mars Resorts.

Mr. Vineet Kumar Assistant Commissioner, Food was present as the chief guest in the program. He delivered a compelling keynote address on the topic of enhancing travel marketing and promotions, emphasizing the important role of effective marketing in the tourism industry.

Dr. Anand K Singh was present as a Guest of Honour in the conference. Who discussed the emerging educational pathways shaping hospitality learning. Dr. Amit Dutta from Manipal University, Jaipur addressed the audience on Personalized Customer Experience through Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Dr. Riyaz Qureshi from Kashmir University addressed Achieving SDGs through ‘Partnership Scheme for Community Participation in Destination Development.

Professor Vimal Kumar, Principal, The Lalit Suri Hospitality School, explored advancements in online booking systems and their impact on guest experience, while Dr. Sandeep Walia, Lovely Professional University, Jalandhar, discussed Tourism and Hospitality Research in Asia – Rethinking Towards a Better Future. Gave a thought provoking speech.

More than 54 papers were presented in the conference book, showcasing the latest research and advances in the field. The conference witnessed enthusiastic participation from all the students of Hotel Management College.

After the conclusion of the conference, a one-day workshop on research methodology was organized on 10th December, 2023. The resource persons for this workshop were Dr. Pooja Chaudhary and Dr. Sandeep Walia. In this lecture, they explained how we, as beginners in research, can start research and publishing.

Ms. Garima Jain Goyal expressed her gratitude to the guest, chief guest and keynote speakers and proposed vote of thanks. She also thanked the attendees for their valuable contributions, making the 8th International Conference a truly enriching experience. Faculty members including Mr. Ankit Prakash, Mr. Vikas Sharma, Mr. Ankit Srivastava, Mr. Saurabh Tripathi, Mrs. Garima Jain Goyal, Mr. Yajvendra Singh and Dr. Dhananjay Srivastava were also present, who were contributing to the success of the conference.
