Ozone Day Celebration 2023

Department of Environmental Engineering, Faculty of Engineering and Technology (FET), Swami Vivekanand Subharti University Meerut in association with University Environment Committee organized an event on the occasion of World Ozone Day. In the event, poster competition, quiz competition, Skit and Lecture were organized.

Honorable V.C. Prof. (Dr.) G.K. Thapliyal andHonorable CEO Prof. (Dr.) Shalya Raj grace the event. HonorableVice Chancelloremphasized on the protection measures of ozone layer. Chief Executive Officer motivated the students to do their best for the protection of Environment.

After this the vice principle of FET, Prof. (Dr.) ShravanGargwelcomes the guest and also told the students about the causes of ozone layer depletion. Prof. (Dr.) MukeshRuhelatold the students about the ozone layer depletion and its healing in today’s world. More than300 students from different constituent’s colleges of the university participated in skit, poster competition, and Quiz competition. Prof. (Dr.)Lobhan, Er. AbhishekTiwari, and Dr. RafatKhanamwere members of judging panel. Students of Engineering College performed a skit to spread the awareness related to ozone layer depletion. In poster competition, students of Science College (Avni and Rahul) and students of BNYS College (Harshita and Nishad) got the first position; Samiksha from BNYS College got the second position, and Mohd.

Huzaifa from Pharmacy College got the third position. In quiz competition, students of Science College got the first position, students of faculty of education and Nursing got the second position, students of Pharmacy, Science, Education, and Polytechnic College got the third position. Engineering college students worked as volunteers in the event. Dr. Sweta Bhardwaj and Dr. Faheem Ahamad worked as the co-conveners in the event. Dr. ArunaBansal, Er.Ritu Sharma, Er. SimarpereetKaurand Er.K.K. Srivastava worked as the organizing team members of the event.
