Educational Trip to Homeshobha, Ghaziabad
Nandlal Bose Subharti College of Fine Arts and Fashion Design’s, Department of Interior Design had a plannededucational trip on 16th April 2023 to exploreHomeshobhaManufacturing unit, a sustainable hubin the field of interior design situated in Ghaziabad.Homeshobha is a renowned manufacturing unit known for its exquisite home décor curated by using waste biodegradable materialandit’sa destination for all the luxury home décor needs.
The idea developer behind this trip was Er. Monika Verma, under the guidance of Prof( Dr.) Pintu Mishra( Dean &Principal of Fine Arts College) and Dr. Neha Singh (Head of Department)so that students could explore real world of home décor items to better understand the products, furnishing, materials and current trends i.e., sustainable innovation in the industry which fulfil the course outcomes of the syllabus. Mr. Prashant Sharma (Director ofHomeshobha) firstly introduced students to the industry and Mr. Amit Gupta (Senior Designer) and Mr. Hritik Tyagi (Product and Sales Manager) exposed students to the various aspects that needed detailed attention and information about how they transform and can create a space that is not only visually pleasing but also emotionally engaging. They started with the mini presentation in different set ups for students to understand how we can develop products with the help of sustainable material and gave a ecofriendly and impressive idea of beauty to the clientwhich playsa vital role in interior designing.
The trip was well-coordinated by Er. Shailja Shindhay, Er. Monika Verma and Ar. Reena Roy.
In conclusion the field trip to Homeshobha helped the students to understand the visuals of how the elements of interior design help each other to achieve an overall theme or design through sustainable ideas that will lead to achieve beauty as well as environmental health.
