A community-oriented Physiotherapy Camp was successfully organized on 22nd November 2025 (Saturday) at Multan Nagar Subharti Health Centre, Meerut. The program was conducted under the Supervision of Dr. Danish Nouman (PT), Officiating Head of the Department of Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy, Jyotirao Phule Subharti College of Physiotherapy in collaboration with the Department of Community. The activity was coordinated and executed by a dedicated healthcare team including Dr. Megha (PT) ,Dr. Shivam Mishra (PT), (PG – 2025 Batch), Dr. Kaishki (PG – 2025 Batch), Dr. Aanchal Gupta (PG – 2025 Batch), and BPT interns Yashu Chauhan, Shruti, Rohit Kumar, and Anas. The camp timings were 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, and a total of 32 participants were evaluated, which included 2 faculty members and 30 patients from the underserved community. The session began with registration, followed by detailed clinical assessments emphasizing posture, joint mobility; pain scale rating, gait analysis, and functional limitations.Patients diagnosed with musculoskeletal disorders were advised on individualized exercise therapy, modifications in daily activities, and ergonomic practices. On-spot physiotherapy interventions such as manual therapy, stretching, joint mobilization, therapeutic exercises, and electrotherapy were provided based on clinical need. Awareness sessions were conducted emphasizing management of arthritis, benefits of regular exercise, obesity control, and importance of timely physiotherapy consultation.
Patients were encouraged to follow up at the institute’s OPD for comprehensive treatment and monitoring. Education materials and guidance for home-based exercises were also distributed to promote continuity of care.
Feedback was collected verbally and through short interaction sessions. Most patients appreciated the camp for timely and effective physiotherapy services. They valued the courteous behavior of the faculty and students, along with clear explanations about their health conditions. Patients suggested such camps be organized regularly to support individuals who lack awareness or accessibility to proper rehabilitation services. Overall satisfaction levels were high, demonstrating the positive impact of the camp on community health.
