Poem Competition under “Nari Shakti Vandan”

The Women Empowerment Committee of Swami VivekanandSubharti University, Meerut under “Nari Shakti Vandan” a flagship initiative by Honourable Prime Minister, Narendra Modi and Government of Uttar Pradesh, successfully organized a Poem Competition dedicated to the inspiring theme of “Nari Shakti” on 17th April, 2026.

The event was conducted with the objective of celebrating the strength, resilience, and contributions of women in society.

The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from Faculties, Non – Teaching staffs, Office – bearers and students across various departments. Participants presented original poems reflecting diverse dimensions of women empowerment, including strength, dignity, equality, struggle and achievement. The event provided a vibrant platform where creativity merged with social awareness. The participants demonstrated remarkable confidence and depth in their articulation, making the event intellectually enriching and emotionally inspiring.

The program commenced with an insightful address by the CEO, SVSU, Prof. (Dr.) Shalya Raj. The event was effectively coordinated by Dr. ManjuAdhikari, Secretary, Women Empowerment Committee. It was efficiently anchored and meticulously managed by the Activity In-Charge, Dr. RakhiKumari, Head, Department of Personality Development and Member of the Women Empowerment Committee, ensuring a well-coordinated and seamless execution.  It was conducted in a well-organized manner, fostering an environment of inclusivity and thoughtful engagement. It served as a meaningful academic and cultural activity aligned with the broader vision of empowering women through awareness and expression.

The Poem competition witnessed the active participation of Dr. Sarika, Dr. NishaRana, Dr. Nisha Singh, Dr. Neha Singh, Dr. Rafat Khanam, Ms. Deepika Choudhary,Dr. Priyanka Singh, Dr. Abhilasha Garg, Ms. Kamya Sharma, Ms. Deepanshu and Ms. Anshu.

The event concluded with a formal Vote of Thanks delivered by Dr. Manju Adhikari, who expressed sincere gratitude to the Honourable Vice-Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) P. K. Sharma and the CEO, Prof. (Dr.) Shalya Raj for their encouragement and unwavering support throughout the program.
