Poster Making Activity on
“Campus without Ragging = Campus without Fear”
Bhikaji Cama Subharti College of Hotel Management, Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, Meerut, organized a Poster Making Activity on 25th August 2026 on the theme “Campus without Ragging, Campus without Fear.” The activity was organized to strengthen anti-ragging awareness among students and to encourage the development of a safe, respectful, inclusive, and student-friendly campus environment.
The activity witnessed the active participation of 38 students, who used creative expression to communicate their understanding of the importance of a campus free from ragging and fear. Students prepared posters using chart paper and drawing and colouring materials, presenting messages related to respect, friendship, student safety, mutual understanding, inclusion, and responsible behaviour.
The programme was supported by the ArtistryFold and Literary Buffet Clubs, reflecting the active involvement of student-led clubs in institutional awareness initiatives. The activity was coordinated by Dr. Garima Jain and Mr. Rohil Bhatnagar, who facilitated student participation and the conduct of the creative awareness programme.
Through the poster-making exercise, students were encouraged to reflect upon the harmful effects of ragging and the importance of maintaining positive relationships within the academic community. The creative format provided an opportunity for students to communicate the message of anti-ragging in their own words and through visual representations, making the awareness initiative both participative and engaging.
The activity also emphasized that creating a fear-free campus is a collective responsibility. Students were encouraged to reject and report incidents of ragging while promoting a culture based on mutual respect, friendship, cooperation, and responsible conduct. The programme thereby connected creative student engagement with an important institutional and social responsibility.
The participation of students and the involvement of the ArtistryFold and Literary Buffet Clubs contributed to strengthening awareness and student engagement around campus safety. The activity demonstrated how creative, student-centred initiatives can effectively communicate important institutional messages while encouraging students to take an active role in building a positive campus culture.
Overall, the Poster Making Activity successfully conveyed the message that a campus without ragging is a campus without fear. It reinforced the importance of respect, inclusion, friendship, and responsible student behaviour and provided a meaningful platform for students to contribute creatively towards creating a safe and welcoming academic environment.
