Poster Making Competition on French Culture and Civilization
The Poster Making Competition on French Culture and Civilization was successfully held on 29th January 2025 at Department of Languages, FASS, SVSU 2:00-4:00 P.M. The event was organized by the Department of Languages and LEFREHINDI. Dr. Rafat Khanam, Associate Professor of English & In-Charge of English and Foreign languages addressed the audience saying, “the primary goal of the competition is to engage participants in creative expression while learning about various aspects of French culture, including art, literature, cuisine, architecture, and historical events.”
The event started and the participants were given a specific timeframe 2:00 to 3:30 P.M. to create visually appealing posters that depicted elements of French civilization. The posters were evaluated based on creativity, originality, relevance to the theme, and presentation skills. Participants showcased a variety of themes, including famous French landmarks like the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre Museum, and the Palace of Versailles. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation, with students demonstrating their artistic skills and knowledge of French culture.
Total 6 participants of French Language Certificate Course Level-A1Srishti, Samiya, Ayushi, Vikhyat, Ananaya, Prachi, Srishti Gupta took part in the competition with the audience of Department of Languages. The judging panel included Dr. Rafat Khanam, Associate Professor of English & In-Charge of English and Foreign languages and French Language Trainer Ms. Jyoti Yadav.
The Poster Making Competition on French Culture and Civilization provided a platform for students to explore and appreciate the richness of French heritage through artistic expression. The event concluded with a vote of thanks acknowledging the efforts of participants, judges and organizers. Dr. Seema Sharma, Dr. Rajeshwar Pal, Dr. Ashish ,Dr. Nishi, Mr. Rahul, Aditi graced the occasion with their presence.
