Learning Korean number through Game – 369 (Sam-Yuk-ku)

A very interactive learning session on Korean numbers through the game “Sam-Yuk-Ku” was organized on 29th January 2025 12:00-2:00 P.M. by Department of Languages and IKBCC with the aim of enhancing students’ understanding of the Korean numbering system in an engaging and enjoyable manner.
The primary objective of the event was to help participants learn and practice Korean numbers effectively through the fun and challenging game of Sam-Yuk-Ku. The activity encouraged quick thinking, language retention, and teamwork among participants. Dr. Rafat Khanam, Associate Professor of English and In-Charge of English and Foreign Languages informed the participants that they will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the Korean language by engaging in a fun and interactive game known as Sam-Yuk-Ku. she told that this game has gained significant popularity in South Korea and serves as an enjoyable way to learn and practice Korean numbers. Throughout the session, Mr. Rahul Kumar, Korean Language Trainer provided a detailed explanation of the game’s rules and objectives, ensuring that everyone understands how to play and can fully participate. This engaging approach not only promoted language acquisition but also offered a glimpse into Korean culture and social interactions, making learning both enjoyable and enriching.
Students actively participated and demonstrated quick adaptability to the game rules. The session promoted a deeper understanding of Korean numbers through experiential learning. Participants engaged in friendly competition, making the learning process dynamic and enjoyable. The interactive format encouraged teamwork, enhancing language learning through collaboration.
After an exciting and engaging session, Aditi Korean Language Certificate course student of Level A-1was announced the best player based on accuracy and performance in the game.
The Learning Korean Numbers through Game – (Sam-Yuk-Ku) session was a great success. It provided an innovative approach to language learning, making number recognition in Korean fun and interactive. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr. Rahul Kumar. During the game Dr. seema Sharma, Dr. Rafat Khanam, Dr. Ashish, Dr. Rajeswar, Dr. Nishi, Mr. Rahul, and French students Vikhyat, Srishti, Samia, Ayushi were present.
