Prof. (Dr.) Sartaj Ahmad told that there are many misconceptions and myths regarding the dog bite /animal bite such as rubbing chili powder and apply garlic or onion juice on the wound. That is not scientifically approved . Some people in village or remote areas go to a local practitioners and have their wound stitched up . Doing so is very dangerous to the health . Mr. Aniket Rana from Kalawati Inter College with their students, Dr. Amandeep Kaur PG student, Interns of Maharshi Aurobindo Subharti college of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences, Mr. Virendra Kumar, Mr. Mashrul Ahmad , Ms. Shalu, Mr. Pradeep, Mrs. Kusum and Ms. Anju were also present at the occasion.An another same program was conducted at Shahid Abdul Hameed Rural Health and Training Centre, village Khajuri.
Medical interns Dr. Pratishtha Singh, Dr. Sanskriti, Dr Simran Singh and Mr. Mohd Farhat delivered a talk on causes, symptoms, prevention and treatment of rabies. Students of Islamiya Madrasa and their teachers were present in the program.
