Swami Vivekananda Chair Sign Historic MoU
On the auspicious occasion of the Mahanirvan Day of Swami Vivekananda, Ramakrishna Mission Delhi has entered into a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Swami Vivekananda Chair at Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, Meerut. This significant partnership aims to foster collaborative efforts in education, research, and community service, promoting the ideals and teachings of Swami Vivekananda.
he MoU was signed by Swami Sarvalokanand Maharaj Ji, Secretary of Ramakrishna Mission Delhi, and Captain M. Yakoob, Registrar of Swami Vivekanand Subharti University Meerut. The signing ceremony, held at Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, was graced by the presence of Dr. Monika Mehrotra, Convener of the Swami Vivekananda Chair, along with distinguished guests, faculty members, students, and devotees.
Key Objectives of the MoU:
- Promoting Research and Scholarship: This collaboration will support joint research projects, seminars, and workshops focused on the philosophy and teachings of Swami Vivekananda, encouraging a deeper understanding and scholarly examination of his work.
- Educational Initiatives: Both institutions will work together to develop educational programs, including courses and lectures, aimed at spreading Swami Vivekananda’s message of universal brotherhood, selfless service, and spiritual growth.
- Community Service: The partnership will enhance community outreach programs, focusing on health, education, and rural development, inspired by Swami Vivekananda’s vision of serving humanity.
- Cultural Exchange: The MoU will facilitate cultural exchanges, enabling students and scholars to participate in study tours, exchange programs, and collaborative projects that highlight India’s rich cultural heritage and spiritual traditions.
Speaking on the occasion, Swami Sarvalokanand Maharaj Ji said, “This MoU is a step towards realizing Swami Vivekananda’s vision of an educated, enlightened, and empowered society. By joining hands with the Swami Vivekananda Chair, we aim to create a platform for intellectual and spiritual growth.”
The Vice Chancellor of Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, Maj. Gen. (Dr.) G. K. Thapliyal, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, “We are honored to collaborate with Ramakrishna Mission Delhi. This MoU will pave the way for innovative initiatives that resonate with the values and teachings of Swami Vivekananda, inspiring future generations to contribute positively to society.”
