On the occasion of world health day ‘2021, Panna Dhai Maa Subharti Nursing College, a unit of Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, Meerut in Collaboration with ANEI ( Association of Nurse Executives India ) had organized an intercollegiate speech competition for nursing students through virtual live Session.
Theme : “ BUILDING A FAIRER, HEALTHIER WORLD”
Topic : MOVING BEYOND CONVENTIONAL LEADERSHIP’
The brochure was prepared fifteen days before and circulated to all the nursing colleges around Uttar Pradesh.
Totally, 85 students have registered for the competition. After the various selection process, 15 students were selected for the final round, that was held on 07.04.2021.
The program was telecasted through the live session of the official Youtube and Facebook page of the university.
The Programme was started at 2.00 pm. Asso. Professor Mrs. Shaheen Aktar Khan, Dept of Community Health Nursing, was the moderator for the session.
The Jury Members for the speech competition were Capt.
Neelam – Director of Nursing, Fortis Hospital, Mohali, Ms. Chitra Selvaraj, Incharge, Orthopedic Department, Pondicherry Institute of Medical Sciences and Asso. Prof. Mr. Anandh Sam Perera. S, PDMSNC.
The program was inaugurated by the welcome speech and blessings of Principal Dr. Geeta Parwanda. She congratulated all the participants for being actively participated in the competition.
Lots were issued prior to the program. Participants were given 3-5 mins for their speech. After all the participants completed their speech, the jury members congratulated all the participants for their effort in being a part of this competition.
At the end, Asso. Prof. Mr. Anandh Sam Perera. S, Dept of Medical-Surgical Nursing, delivered the vote of thanks to jury members, ANEI, the participants, and all the colleges for allowing their students to participate.
The Programme came to an end at 3.50 pm. The results were announced later through the WhatsUp group and certificates of award and participation were issued through their respective mails of the participants.
