Road Safety Awareness Program

A  Road Safety Awareness program was organized  in the Department of Community Medicine  Subharti Medical College of Swami Vivekanand Subharti University Meerut.
Mr. Sunil Kumar Sharma, Deputy Secretary of Mishika Society was the keynote speaker of the program. Dr. Bhawana Pant, Head of Community Medicine Department said that whether you are driving or walking on the road, road safety awareness is important for every person. This year the theme of National Road Safety Week 2024 has been kept as “Become a Road Safety Hero”.
The Keynote speaker Mr Sunil Kumar Sharma, Deputy Secretary of Mishika Society talked about the Road Safety Awareness Fortnight. He explained in detail about duties of Transport Department and Traffic Police, signboards, road safety orientation, motor vehicle driving regulation, protective driving, following traffic rules, use of helmet & seatbelt, speed limit, use of mobile phone while driving, drunk driving, over speeding, vehicle inspection and maintenance, insurance, reflector tape, driver behaviour and education, traffic enforcement and regulations, etc.
Along with him, Head Constable Mr. Kishanpal Singh, Constable Mr. Harendra Chaudhary and Constable Mr. Bunty Singh of Traffic Police gave information through various traffic signs.
On this occasion, Dr. Varsha Chaudhary, Dr. Anuradha Dave, Dr. Monica Gupta, Dr. Sartaj Ahmad, Dr. Kaynat Nasser, Dr. Anshul, Dr. Gopi Raman, Dr. Akshita Yadav, Dr. Bhuvanesh Bhatta, Interns and MBBS students of 2023 batch, Mashrul Ahmad and Surender Kumar were present.
