Guest Lecture on “Art of Drafting, Pleading and Conveyancing
Sardar Patel Subharti Institute of Law, SVSU organized a guest lecture on “Art of Drafting, Pleading & Conveyancing” on September 26, 2024. Hon’ble Justice Rajesh Chandra Former Judge High Court of Judicature at Prayagraj was the Guest Speaker. The lecture started at 11.30 am with the brief introduction of the University and welcome of the participants by Prof. (Dr.) Reena Bishnoi, Events Coordinator and she welcomed the Guest Speaker. This guest lecture was organized for the final year students of BA LLB. Delivering the talk, Hon’ble Justice Rajesh Chandra stated that drafting should always be backed by strong research which is considered to be the thumb rule. It is very important to know what the client actually wants. Drafting differs from the court of first instance to the last instance. He also highlighted various provisions of civil and procedural law which are important to understand practical matters in the court. He also informed that dates and facts are of utmost importance when it comes to drafting. What the client actually wants should be known as a whole. Court of first instance and the court of last instance play a very important role in the drafting. The guest speaker had a thorough understanding of the topic which was very much appreciated by the audiences. The vote of thanks was proposed by Prof.(Dr.)Reena Bishnoi. A total of 30 participants participated in the guest lecture.
