The Department of Liberal Arts & Humanities, Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences, Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, Meerut (U.P.), successfully organized an insightful session on the topic “How to Start a Start-Up” on 24.02.2026 at 12:10 pm onwards in the Conference Hall, Sixth Floor.
The session was delivered by Miss Arushi Singh, M.A. Political Science (IV Semester), Department of Liberal Arts & Humanities. The lecture aimed at fostering entrepreneurial thinking among students and encouraging them to explore innovative business ideas alongside their academic pursuits.
The Head of the Department, Prof. (Dr.) Jyoti Gaur, highly appreciated Miss Arushi Singh for her commendable effort in delivering an informative and well-structured session on “How to Start a Start-Up.” She praised Arushi’s confidence, subject clarity, and ability to engage the audience effectively.
Prof. (Dr.) Jyoti Gaur also acknowledged the initiative taken by the student to share practical knowledge on entrepreneurship and encouraged other students to come forward with similar academic and skill-based contributions. She emphasized that such activities enhance leadership qualities, communication skills, and innovative thinking among students.
Her encouraging words served as a great motivation for the students and added prestige to the successful organization of the program at the Department of Liberal Arts & Humanities, Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences, Swami Vivekanand Subharti University.
During the session, Miss Arushi Singh elaborated on the fundamentals of entrepreneurship, including idea generation, identifying market opportunities, preparing a structured business plan, understanding funding avenues, legal formalities for registration, and the importance of innovation and sustainability in modern start-ups. She also highlighted the significance of risk-taking ability, leadership skills, adaptability, and strategic planning in building successful ventures.
The interactive session provided practical insights into transforming ideas into viable business models. Students actively participated by asking questions related to funding, digital marketing strategies, and government schemes supporting start-ups in India. The lecture proved to be highly informative and motivational, especially for beginners who aspire to become entrepreneurs.
The formal Vote of Thanks was delivered by Dr. Shalini Singh, who expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the esteemed resource speaker, Miss Arushi Singh, for delivering such an insightful and motivating session on “How to Start a Start-Up.” She appreciated the clarity, confidence, and practical guidance shared during the lecture, which greatly benefited the students.

The program was coordinated by Dr. Amrita Chaudhary, Assistant Professor, Department of Liberal Arts & Humanities, who emphasized the importance of developing entrepreneurial skills among students to enhance employability and self-reliance. She encouraged students to think beyond conventional career paths and become job creators rather than job seekers.
