Seven Days Orientation Program for Students: 2024-25
(From: 27.08.2024 to 02.09. 2024)
Inaugural Session -27th August 2024
Objectives:
- To welcome week or Freshers’ Week.
- To familiarize the students with Discipline Rules, regulations and working of Proctorial Board of the University/Department.
- To know them about the examination system of Department of Education/University.
- To know the students about the course structure of each class.
- To let all to the Visit to the Faculty of Education.
The Department of Education, faculty of Education, Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, Meerut organize an Orientation Program from 27.08.2024 to 02.09.2024 to welcome all the newly admitted students in the Department of Education. Day one dated 27.08.2024 in the Seminar Hall of the Faculty of Education. The program was started with the worship of Maa Saraswati, with a Deep and Prof. Dr. Anoj Raj Head, Department of Education, Chief Guest Dr. Shashi Raj Teotia (Chief Proctor) SVSU, Meerut, Prof. Dr. Indira Singh, Academic Coordinator, and all distinguished faculty members of the Department of Education.
First of all the day was begin with the blessings of Major General G.K. Thapliyal, Vice Chancellor, Swami Vivekananda Subharti University, Meerut and Prof. Dr. Shalya Raj, Chief Executive Officer, Swami Vivekananda Subharti University, Meerut also congratulated the new students.
The program was conducted by Dr. Rupam Jain, Assistant Professor, Education Department of Education did it in a very interesting manner and welcomed all the new
students, to be held in the next 6 days. She briefly explained the outline of the program. Beginning of the first day of orientation program, Swami Vivekananda Subharti Following the tradition, Prof. (Dr.) Anoj Raj, Acting Dean, Faculty of Education, and Head, Department of Education, Swami Vivekananda Subharti University, Meerut, Chief Guest Dr. Shashi Raj Tewatia (Chief Proctor) gifting a sapling to Swami Vivekananda Subharti University, He also welcome the new students, introducing them to the department and the university about history, achievements and future plans “If you knock, it will open, if you ask, it will open & If you search than also it will open ”
Dr. Raj explained eloquently to maintain the discipline, rules and responsibilities of the university very well .He told effectively and laying the foundation for a bright future by sharing your thoughts among others is necesaary. He also told to keep moving forward by following time and discipline, in this series Dr. Mumtaz, Shaikh Assistant Professor, Dr. Roop Jain, Assistant Professor and Mrs. Reshu Rani, Spokesperson (B.El.Ed., B.Ed, M.Ed courses) explained the outline of the program in detail. Mr. Sanjeev Kumar, Assistant Professor, Department of Education, Swami Vivekananda Subharti University, Meerut,told about the examination rules. Finally, the major attraction of the day for the students. Both the departments were visited by Dr. Sangeeta Rani, Assistant Professor and Mr. Rahul Kumar, one by one. Both of them told about all the activities of the department. All the faculty members of the department and Dr. Manju Adhikari, Acting Head of Department, Physical Education Department, Smt. Deepika Choudhary, Disabled Centre, SwamiVivekananda was present as the coordinator of Subharti University, Meerut, on this auspicious occasion. A wave of enthusiasm was witnessed on the first day of this orientation programme.

The Department of Education, faculty of Education, Swami Vivekanand Subharti University,Meerut is organizing an Orientation Program from 27.08.2024 to 02.09.2024 to welcome all the newly admitted students in the Department of Education, in the Seminar Hall of the Faculty of Education. On the day fourth, dated 30.08.2024, the program was started with the words of wisdom by Prof. Dr. Indira Singh, Academic Coordinator of the Department of Education, and the Chief Guest was Prof. Dr. Sartaz Ahmed Professor in Medical Sociology, Subharti Community Medicine Centre, SVSU, Meerut,
The day was begun with the blessings of Dr. Sartaz ahmed to all the newly admitted students in the Department of Education. Dr. Ahmed presented a vast description about Swami Vivekanand Subharti University before the students, He told that all the institutions (medical and non medical), Offices, Hostels (boys and Girls), playgrounds, Residential Blocks, Auditoriums, Roads including the T points inside the university are named under the names of freedom fighters for India. This way he also suggested that the names and the places of outdoor schools and colleges should be named after the names of freedom fighters. Dr. Ahmed also discussed various health facilities like Gyn, Ortho, ENT, Skin, OPD, Radiology, cardiology, Oncology etc. so that all the students can be benefitted by them in case of emergency.
Dr. Ahmed also discussed about the super speciality clinics and the emergency services, outreach health centres and training centres. He too introduced the students about the working rural health & training centres around the village areas of Meerut region running under Subharti University.
At the end of the session Dr. Indira Singh proposed vote of thanks to Prof. Dr. Sartaz Ahmed for providing the students the vast glimpses of Subharti University and all the students for listening Dr. Ahmed so carefully. The whole program was coordinated by Dr. Rupam Jain, Assistant Professor, DoE, SVSU, Meerut. All the faculty members and the students were present on this occasion.
