Student Orientation Program Faculty of Fine Arts
Nand Lal Bose Subharti College of Fine Arts and Fashion Design organized one week orientation programme from 1st Aug -7th August 2023 for all the first year students from all the courses running at NBSCFF.
The excitement and enthusiasm of the students was exemplary to learn new things for their future goals. The programme was inaugurated by (Prof.) Dr. Pintu Mishra,Dean/Principal NBSCFF.The students were welcomed by (Prof.) Dr. Pintu Mishra Dean/Principal NBSCFF by his encouraging and motivating words.
The programme was co ordinated by Ms. Shradha Yadav and Ms. Anisha Anand,accompanied with Mr. Lucky Tyagi,Assistant Professor, Fine Arts and Ms. Saumya Sharma, Assistant Professor, Fashion Design in which the students were introduced to the vision and mission of the university and Departments at NBSCFF.The programme was followed by the departmental introduction by the respective HOD’s.The first department introduced to the students was the Department of Performing Arts, by Dr. Bhawna Grover,HOD Performing Arts, the students were welcomed and talked about the contribution of performing arts in the wholesome development of the student.
Dr. Vidhi Khandelwal HOD Animation guided the students regarding animation as a career and its implementation in every walk of life, she also informed the students about the universities infrastructural facilities, Different redressal cells, university committees, websites, Scholarship plans provided by the university. The programme was taken forward by Dr. Neha Singh ,HOD,Department of Design, the students were briefed about the departmental activities,shows,workshops to promote the students work and their participation in future ventures.
Mr. Krishan Kundara Assistant Professor Fine Arts, motivated the students to be versed with their artistic side and take art ,sketching and drawing as their passion to build a strong foundation as an artist.
Dr. Shweta Choudhary,Discipline Incharge,NBSCFF,spread awareness about the rules and regulations to be followed by the students in the university campus.Ms.Anisha Anand,Examination Incharge,informed the students about the examination system of the university and related information.
Day 2 the students were accompanied by Dr. Sonal Bhardwaj,Associate Professor, Department of Fine Arts and Ms. Tanushree Kashyap,Assistant Professor Department of Performing Arts for the departmental visit in which they visited various labs, lecture halls, conference hall, auditorium etc.In the second half of the day students had an interesting session with Mr. Krishan Kundara,Coordinator, Fine Arts Club, gave a demonstration on rapid sketching and caricatures.
The students enjoyed the session.
Day 3 was all about the university campus visit by Mr. Lucky Tyagi,Assistant Professor, Fine Arts and Ms. Saumya Sharma, Assistant Professor, Fashion Design where the students visited the entire campus of 250 acres and got familiarized with the university layout, during the visit the students took pictures for a photography competition organized by Mr. Lucky Tyagi,Coordinator Photography Club. Post noon the students were engaged in a fun filled activity” Take a Selfie” in which the students took selfies in the entire college campus by solving the riddles given.
Day 4,the students visited Azad Hind Radio and Subharti TV CHANNEL accompanied by Dr. Anshu Srivastava ,Coordinator Applied Arts and Dr. Vandana Tomar,Academic Coordinator ,Fine Arts to expose them to a platform provided by the university where they can create social media linkages and connect to their creative sides, followed by visit to the Anatomy Department, to learn how to draw a human form as it appears in various positions and postures which is helpful in basic figure drawing and sketching for art and design students.
Day 5 ,we have planned for a cultural Activity ,where the students will compete in various categories as dancing ,singing, acting etc.
The activity will be coordinated by ,Ms. Nishi Chauhan,Coordinator Cultural Club. The last day students will be engaged in sports activities indoor as well as outdoor coordinated by Dr. Arpana Kamboj,Coordinator,Sports Committee,NBSCFF.
The six day Orientation Programme was planned and is being implemented to cover all aspects of the College and Subharti University. The students were made aware of all rules and regulations, disciplines ,examination system, Different Cells and committees and the prospects of their chosen academic path to have a bright and successful future.
