Students of NBSCFF Explore Creativity on a Memorable Nainital Trip
Nandlal Bose Subharti College of Fine Arts and Fashion Design’s, had a planned educational trip for students to Nainital, The idea developer behind this trip Dr. Ashish Mishra, under the guidance of Prof( Dr.) Pintu Mishra (Dean & Principal of Fine Arts College).
A group of enthusiastic design students recently embarked on an enriching trip to the scenic hill station of Nainital, blending their creative journey with the serene beauty of nature. The excursion, organized as part of their curriculum, aimed to inspire creativity, foster teamwork, and provide a refreshing break from academic rigor.

They arrived in Nainital early in the morning on 16th of November at Dynasty resort at Khurpatal and were greeted by its crisp air and picturesque landscapes. The itinerary included visits to iconic spots like ,Naini Lake, Snow View Point, Botanical Garden, and the bustling Mall Road, where students immersed themselves in local art and culture.
The serene surroundings of the lake served as a perfect canvas for the students. Armed with sketchbooks and pencils, they captured the tranquillity and vibrant life around the lake, showcasing their artistic skills.
The group participated in a photography workshop at Snow View Point, where they learned to frame and capture the essence of landscapes. Additionally, a hands-on craft workshop with local artisans provided insights into traditional Kumauni art.
Adventure activities such as trekking to Tiffin Top and a boat race on Naini Lake fostered teamwork and camaraderie among the students. The experiences not only strengthened their bonds but also stimulated their creative thinking.
A cultural evening organized by local performers allowed the students to experience the region’s traditional music and dance. The students reciprocated by showcasing their own talents, making the event a vibrant exchange of cultures.
Students described the trip as both inspiring and rejuvenating. “The natural beauty of Nainital is a source of endless inspiration. This trip has given me new ideas for my projects,” shared Students, of a second-year design student. Faculty members praised the students’ enthusiasm and creativity throughout the trip.
The Nainital trip was a perfect blend of education and recreation, leaving a lasting impression on the students. It highlighted the importance of stepping out of the classroom and connecting with the world for holistic learning and creative growth. The students returned with not only fond memories but also enriched perspectives, ready to channel their inspiration into innovative designs.
