Ten day’s National Adventure Camp-2024 at ABVIMAS, Manali
A national level ten-day adventure program Camp-2024 will be organized for NSS volunteers from 20th November to 29th November at Atal Bihari Vajpayee Mountaineering and Allied Sports Institute, Manali, Himachal Pradesh. A total of 20 volunteers from Uttar Pradesh have been selected for this camp, in which 6 NSS volunteers of Swami Vivekanand Subharti University have also been selected. Also, the responsibility of the team leader of Uttar Pradesh has been handed over to the NSS Programme Coordinator of the university, Prof. (Dr.) Subhash Chandra Thaledi.
The 6 member team of the university was sent off today by Pro-Vice Chancellor Dr. Devendra Swaroop by handing over the NSS flag and banner to the leader of volunteers team Vidya. On this occasion, he said that this is a proud moment for the university and the volunteers should increase the pride of the university. He further said that the NSS volunteers should participate more and more in adventure competitions.
On this occasion, the Chancellor of the University, Dr. Stuti Narayan Kakkar, Vice Chancellor Maj. Gen. (Dr.) G.K. Thapliyal, Chief Executive Officer Prof. (Dr.) Shalya Raj also expressed happiness and sent their best wishes to the team of NSS volunteers going for the adventure camp.
NSS Program Coordinator of Subharti University, Prof. (Dr.) Subhash Chandra Thaledi told that in the adventure program camp of NSS, the volunteers will participate in many adventure activities, through which they will increase their physical ability while experiencing adventure. He further said that adventure activities include sports like mountain trekking, water rafting, para- sailing and basic skiing. This promotes adventure activities among the volunteers and improves physical and mental strength. Along with this, by joining the participants from other parts of the country, the volunteers increase brotherhood, team spirit and the ability to take risks.Further he added that NSS volunteers Nitesh, Vidya, Anushka, Harsh, Sudarshini, Amit were representing the university in the national adventurous programme camp-2024.
Earlier, Prajjwal Pandey, an NSS volunteer of Subharti University, is representing the university in the Pre-RD Camp at BIT Patna for selection in the team of Republic Day Parade -2025
During this, Vice-Chancellor of the University Dr. Devendra Swaroop, Executive Officer Dr. Krishnamurthy, Registrar Group Captain M. Yakub and Syed Zafar Hussain, Dr. R. K. Ghai, Dean Management College, Dr. Renu Mavi, Dean Science College, NSS Program Officer Dr. Vishal Kumar, Ram Prakash Tiwari, Public Relations Officer of the University Anam Khan Sherwani, Administrative Officer Harshvardhan Kaushik and non-teaching staff Kapil Gill and Kuldeep along with students like Shakib and Arpit, Nitesh, Vidya, Anushka, Harsh, Sudarshini, Amit etc. were present.
