Subharti NSS Cell honored by international organization

Swami Vivekanand Subharti University’s National Service Scheme (NSS) Cell has been awarded the Certificate of Appreciation by the international organization Vegan Outreach. The NSS Cell was given this Certificate of Appreciation for conducting awareness activities on the topic “How our food choices affect our environment and animals” under “Food-Planet-Health”. It is known that Vegan Outreach is a global international non-profit organization, which through its various activities creates awareness among the student community towards animals and environment and encourages vegetarianism.

University Vice Chancellor Major General (Dr.) G.K. Thapliyal, SM (Retd.) presented this certificate to NSS Program Coordinator Prof. (Dr.) S.C. Thaledi. On this occasion, he appreciated the activities being done by the NSS Cell of the University. On this occasion, the Vice Chancellor also emphasized on organizing as many youth and student-centric activities as possible.

It is known that even before this, the NSS Cell has been given appreciation certificates by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of India for cleanliness drives and by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India for the successful conducting of Fit India Run-2023 program. Ram Prakash Tiwari, Program Officer of Unit-1 of NSS was present on this occasion.
