Three Days Workshop on ‘Method and Material’
A three-day Method and Material workshop was organized from 5 March 2025 to 7 March 2025 in the Department of Fine Arts, Nandlal Bose Subharti College of Fine Art and Fashion Design, Swami Vivekanand Subharti University Meerut. The workshop timings were from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Mrs. Geetu Sharma participated in this workshop as a subject expert. The inaugural and closing ceremony of the workshop was held in the Amrita Shergill Conference Hall of the Faculty of Fine Arts. In the inaugural ceremony, the Principal of the college, Professor Dr. Pitu Mishra ji honored Mrs. Geetu Sharma by giving her a plant and a memento and wished for the success of the workshop. In the inaugural ceremony and closing ceremony, teachers like Dr. Anshu Srivastava, Dr. Vandana Tomar, Dr. Ashish Mishra, Dr. Sonal Bhardwaj, Dr. Aparna Kamboj, Dr. Patnendra Tiwari, Shraddha Yadav, Lucky Tyagi, Anisha Anand, Diwakar Bisht etc. from the faculty were present and the students of the faculty also participated enthusiastically. In the closing ceremony of the workshop, Dr. Anshu Srivastava, Dr. Vandana Tomar, Dr. Sonal Bhardwaj, Dr. Ashish Mishra and Dr. Pawanendra Tiwari honored the subject expert Mrs. Geetu Sharma by presenting her a certificate and a gift. The workshop was conceptualized and outlined by the Head of the Fine Arts Department, Prof. Dr. Pooja Gupta. The program was conducted by Ramesh Chandra Maurya and the workshop was supervised by Dr. Anshu Srivastava. On the first day of the workshop, Mrs. Geetu Sharma gave training to the students on Amer Mirror Craft, on the second day on Lippan Art and on the third day on Tapestry Craft. During this, she introduced the students to both the traditional and modern forms of these crafts. The children created beautiful art crafts under the guidance of Mrs. Geetu Sharma. During the workshop, the children also asked questions related to the details of the above-mentioned art crafts from the subject expert and the children also received appropriate answers from them. Overall, this three-day Method and Material workshop was completely successful and the children got the benefit of it which will be useful to the students in their field in future.
