Two Day District Level Yoga Championship
A two-day district level yoga championship is being organized from 17 to 18 May in Swami Vivekanand Subharti University under the joint aegis of the Department of Physical Education and District Meerut Yoga Association.
The competition was inaugurated by Chief Guest Professor Lalit Sharma (Delhi University), Special Guest Umesh Kumar (Organization Minister Krida Bharti), Rishipal Singh (President Uttar Pradesh Yogasana Association), Devendra Swaroop Ji (Vice Chancellor Swami Vivekanand Subharti University), Dean of Education Faculty, Lieutenant Sandeep Kumar (President Meerut Yogasana Association), Kapil Tyagi (Secretary Meerut Yogasana Association), Richa Singh (National General Secretary – Sports Cell, Rashtriya Lok Dal), Avnish Tyagi (District President Bharat Tibet Cooperation Forum), Asha Chaudhary (District President Women’s Department – Bharat Tibet Cooperation Forum), Abhishek Pradhan (Vice President Meerut Yogasana Association) Preeti Bansal etc. by lighting a lamp in front of Goddess Saraswati.The aim of this yoga championship is to provide an opportunity to the players to showcase their hidden talent. The chief guest wished the participants good luck for the yoga championship. This competition includes traditional yoga, artistic solo, artistic pair, rhythmic pair etc. More than 120 participants took part in the competition.
Vice Chancellor of Swami Vivekananda Subharti University Major General G.K. Thapliyal, Chief Executive Officer Professor Shalya Raj gave their blessings for the championship.
On this occasion, Dr. Praveen Kumar, Dr. Manju Adhikari, Dr. Deepak Raghav, Dr. Atul Tiwari, Dr. Ankit Singh Jadoun, Dr. Nishant Kumar, Mr. Mohammad Sartaj etc. were present from the Department of Physical Education.
