UNI Mentor Sports Fest 2026–27 Begins with Great Enthusiasm at Swami Vivekanand Subharti University
The Department of Physical Education, Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, Meerut, successfully inaugurated the UNI Mentor Sports Fest 2026–27 on 30 July 2026 with great enthusiasm and active participation from faculty members representing various faculties and colleges of the university. The two-day sports festival has been organized with the objective of promoting physical fitness, teamwork, sportsmanship and healthy interaction among university faculty members.
The inaugural ceremony was graced by Dr. Sartaj Ahmad, Dean Student Welfare, Dr. Sasiraj Teotia, Chief Proctor, and Dr. Pradeep Raghav, Chairman, University Teachers’ Club, as the Chief Guests. The dignitaries were warmly welcomed with Sapling by Dr. Manju Adhikari, Head, Department of Physical Education.
Following the welcome ceremony, the dignitaries formally inaugurated the festival by cutting the ceremonial ribbon and flagged off the first event, Tug of War. The inaugural event witnessed enthusiastic participation from faculty members belonging to various departments, including the Faculty of Law, Subharti Dental College, Subharti Polytechnic College, Panna Dhai Maa Subharti Nursing College, Subharti College of Allied Health Care, Faculty of Science, Mahavir Subharti College and Hospital of Naturopathy & Yogic Sciences, College of Engineering, and other constituent institutions of the university.
The Tug of War competition generated tremendous excitement as participants displayed remarkable teamwork, determination, and sporting spirit. The winners were:
- First Position: Faculty of Science
- Second Position: Panna Dhai Maa Subharti Nursing College
- Third Position: Subharti Polytechnic CollegeAfter the successful completion of the Tug of War event, the Spoon Race was organized, in which faculty members from different colleges enthusiastically participated.
The winners of the Spoon Race were:
- 🥇 First Position: Dr. Abhijeet (Mahavir Subharti College & Hospital of Naturopathy & Yogic Sciences)
- 🥈 Second Position: Dr. Neeraj (Mahavir Subharti College & Hospital of Naturopathy & Yogic Sciences)
- 🥉 Third Position: Mr. Rahul (Paramedical)
Addressing the gathering, the chief guests appreciated the efforts of the Department of Physical Education in organizing such an engaging sports festival and emphasized that sports play a vital role in enhancing physical fitness, mental well-being, leadership qualities, discipline and interdepartmental bonding among faculty members. They encouraged all participants to continue embracing sports as an integral part of a healthy and balanced lifestyle.
The first day of the festival concluded successfully with enthusiastic participation, healthy competition and an atmosphere filled with energy, cooperation, and sportsmanship.
