Department of Physical Education Organizes Sports Industry Visit to Sports Equipment Manufacturing Unit
The Department of Physical Education, Faculty of Education, Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, Meerut, successfully organized a Sports Industry Visit on 09 May 2026 to a Sports Equipment Manufacturing Factory located at Rota Road, Tej Vihar, Meerut. The educational visit was organized with the objective of providing students with practical exposure to the functioning of the sports manufacturing industry and enhancing their understanding of industrial operations related to sports equipment production.
During the visit, the students were guided by Mr. Rahul, Manager of the organization, who provided a comprehensive overview of the manufacturing processes involved in the production of various sports equipment. He explained the operational workflow of the industry and familiarized students with the modern machinery and technology utilized in manufacturing, quality control, packaging, and distribution of sports goods.
The participants were given an opportunity to observe different stages of sports equipment production and gain firsthand knowledge about industrial practices. Students interacted with industry professionals and learned about the operational structure of a sports manufacturing unit, including production management, inventory management, quality assurance, logistics, marketing, and customer service functions.
A significant highlight of the visit was the exposure provided regarding the diverse career opportunities available within the sports industry. Students were informed about various professional roles and employment prospects in sports manufacturing, product development, operations management, quality control, sales, marketing, and entrepreneurship. The session enabled students to understand the practical application of concepts studied in physical education and sports management programmes.
The visit proved to be highly informative and enriching, bridging the gap between academic learning and industrial practice. Students gained valuable insights into the functioning of the sports goods sector and developed a better understanding of industry requirements, technological advancements, and career opportunities in the sports business ecosystem.
The educational visit was accompanied by Dr. Praveen Kumar, Associate Professor, Department of Physical Education, Dr. Nishant Kumar, and Research Scholar Mr. Sartaz Khan, who guided and supported the students throughout the programme.
