Workshop on Career Advancement through French Language Skills

The Department of Languages organized a career-oriented workshop titled “Career Advancement through French Language Skills” in collaboration with LeFreHindi under the existing MoU. The workshop aimed to create awareness among students regarding the growing global opportunities associated with French language proficiency.

The invited speakers were Ms. Srishti Jain, LeFreHindi Coordinator, and Ms. Babita, HR-LeFreHindi, who shared valuable insights on job prospects in translation, tourism, hospitality, international business, customer support, and study-abroad programs.

Dr. Seema Sharma, HoD, Languages, emphasized on learning foreign languages for getting bright career opportunities.

Dr. Rafat Khanam, In-charge of English and Foreign Languages welcomed the guests and coordinated the session. She highlighted the importance of language skills in strengthening employability and opening international career pathways.

Objectives of the Workshop

The workshop aimed to familiarize students with the career potential associated with French language learning, particularly in global sectors such as tourism, corporate services, education, and cultural exchange. It sought to promote interactive, activity-based learning while enhancing students’ creativity, teamwork, and cultural awareness.

Outcome of the Workshop

The session enabled students to understand how French language skills can significantly improve employability in both national and international settings. Participants learned essential French vocabulary related to professional communication and explored career roles such as interpreters, translators, international business associates, and tourism executives. Faculty members Dr. Ranveer Singh, Abhijeet Sharma, Ashish Kumar, Dr. Manisha Luthre, and Sanya Agarwal attended the event. Students including Mohit Kumar, Monika, Palak Aron, Avanya Chauhan, Yashika Rak, Harleen Kaur, Sanjeev Yadav, Jyoti Choudhary, Deepak, and Charu Bisht actively participated in the workshop.

In conclusion, the workshop on Career Advancement through French Language Skills successfully bridged academic learning with professional guidance, empowering students to explore international opportunities and encouraging them to pursue French language certification for future growth.
