Workshop on the topic ‘Data Analytics using Python‘

Faculty of Engineering & Technology, Swami Vivekananda Subharti University organized a workshop on “Data Analytics using Python” on 22nd May 2023 in collaboration with Noida’s ‘Ducat’ company. The main speaker in the workshop was Mr. Rohit Pahwa, Engineer working as Machine Learning Expert in Ducat, Noida. More than 80 students and teachers of Faculty of Engineering and Technology participated in this workshop with enthusiasm.
The keynote speaker enlightened the students about data, its sources, different types of data like structured, semi-structured and unstructured data, need of data science in today’s world, machine learning and data mining. He made the students aware about the exciting opportunities being created by technology in the field of Machine Learning and Data Mining. In the workshop, the keynote speaker gave hands-on exercises to all the students on data analysis using Python libraries. The purpose of organizing such workshops is to make the students aware of the new technology prevalent in the market, which will make it easier for them to get jobs in the future. At the end of the workshop, the queries of all the students were resolved by the speaker.
The workshop was organized under the supervision of Dean (Dr.) Manoj Kapil and Head of Department Dr. Shravan Kumar Garg at Madan Mohan Malviya Auditorium of Faculty of Engineering and Technology. He inspired the students with his speech and appreciated the speaker. Dr. Archita Bhatnagar, working in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, and Amardeep were instrumental in successfully organizing the workshop.
The session was organized with the objective to:
- To Develop and utilize critical elements of programming language, Python.
- To Build and apply practical skill sets to complete data exploration and visualization.
- To demonstrate data ingestion using Python and various data types and data sources.
- To Compare data analytics and advanced data analytics.
