Faculty of AYUSH & Faculty of education, Swami vivekanand Subharti university, Meerut organized a Webinar on, “Biological Diversity in India” on 22nd May 2023 (02:30-03:40PM). The resource person, Dr. Sharad Pandey, Dean, School of agriculture, Forestry & Fisheries, Himgiri Zee University Uttarakhand delivered the Speech on “Biological Diversity in India”. He spoke about benefits, threats, conservation & viewpoints of Biological diversity in india. Dr. Shalini Tiwari, Assistant Professor, Faculty of Education host the webinar. Dr. Anoj Raj, HOD, Faculty of Education, introduced the guest speaker. Dr. G. K. Thapliyal, Vice chancellor, SVSU, Meerut gave the Introduction about the Biological diversity in India. Dr. Niraj N Rishi, Assistant Professor, Faculty of AYUSH gave the vote of thanks. The goal of this webinar “Biodiversity Conservation” is to protect all forms of life on Earth and to maintain the health and function of their respective natural ecosystems. The practice of conserving and protecting the richness and variety of species, habitats, ecosystems, and genetic diversity on Earth is known as biodiversity conservation. This practice is crucial for our health, wealth, access to food, fuel, and other essential services. It contributes significantly to several development sectors.
