Swami Vivekanand Subharti University celebrated the International Girl child day on 11th October 2021 as part of the Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao mission launched by the Hon’ble Sh Narendra Modi (PM of India) in the Moot court, Subharti Institute of Law. The function was presided over by Sh Suresh Rana Ji (Minister, UP Govt.
) as Chief Guest and Sh Rajendra Aggarwal (M P from Meerut Lok Sabha) as Guest of Honor. Ms. Anshu Tyagi (Lokpal, Meerut) also attended the function. The function was attended by more than 350 participants including students, faculty members, and non-teaching staff. The program started with a brief introduction of the program by the founder Dr.
Atul Krishna and was followed by the welcome address by Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Brig Dr. V P Singh. The attendees were informed about the various programs and schemes run by the University by Dr. Krishna Murty and Dr. Simmi Gurwara with a special focus to promote the girl students.
The illustrious and meritorious girl students from various faculties of the University were honored by the chief guest and guest of honor by awarding them the certificates of appreciation. The dignitaries also presented certificates of appreciation to those who worked tirelessly during the COVID 19 pandemic. The Hon’ble Guests spoke about the various aspects of the schemes being run by the government of India so as to promote the girl child. The program was well conducted by Mr. Vivek Sanskriti and Dr. Manoj Tripathi delivered the vote of thanks.
