Workshop on Physiological Parameter Monitoring Systems

  • Physiological parameter monitoring systems, whether wired or wireless, play a crucial role in healthcare and research.
  • Wired solutions provide reliable data transmission but may limit mobility, whereas wireless solutions offer freedom of movement.
  • Parameters taught in the workshop were Electroencephalography (EEG), Electrogastrography (EGG), Heart Rate Variability (HRV), Electromyography (EMG), Galvanic Skin Response (GSR),and Electrocardiography (ECG) are common parameters monitored. Each serves distinct purposes in assessing brain activity, gastrointestinal function, heart health, muscle activity, stress levels, and cardiac performance, respectively.
  • Purpose of the workshop is to improve the knowledge on these physiologicalParameters for conducting research.
  • The resource person for the workshop on Physiological Parameters Monitoring systems on Wired and Wireless Solutions (EEG, EGG, HRV, EMG, GSR, ECG )was JKL Prasad
  • The entire workshopwas coordinated by Abhijith.k.b.
  • Number of participants in the workshop was 33 out of which therewas9 faculties and 24 postgraduate students.
  • The workshop was for 2 days (6th& 7th may 2024)
