WORLD HEALTH DAY’ 2023
On the occasion of World Health Day’ 2023, the Indian Medical Association has organized a WALKATHON from Maulana Azad Medical College to IMA HeadQuarter, New Delhi. The theme of the world health day is “Health for All ”.
Three nursing colleges and two medical colleges are invited by the Indian Nursing Council and Indian Medical Association. The invitee colleges are Panna Dhai Maa Subharti Nursing College, Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, Nightingale Institute of Nursing, Sharda Nursing College, Sharda University, Maulana Azad Medical College and MuzaffarNagar Medical College.
The walk started from Maulana Medical college which was inaugurated by IMA General Secretary Dr. Naik and INC President Dr. Dilip Kumar and it reached the Indian Medical Association 3 kms away. Nearly 600 Students have participated in the Walkathon to proclaim the world as Health for all.
From Panna Dhai Subharti Nursing Colleges nearly 70 students participated under the guidance of the Dean & Principal Dr. Geeta Parwanda supported by Asst. Prof. Chhaya Yadav, Asst. Lect. Amit Kumar, Asst. Lect. Saral Kumar and Asst. Lect. Arti. Refreshments were given to all the participants after the walk.
Nukkad Natak at Metro Heart Hospital, Meerut
The second year nursing students had performed Nukkad Natak on the health day theme in the Metro heart hospital premises, Meerut. The audience had appreciated the students for the informative session. After the natak, the team had an interaction session with the patients and the relatives and clarified the doubts. The programme was conducted by the Adult Health Nursing department under the guidance of the Principal Dr. Geeta Parwanda and the HOD – Prof. Anandh Sam Perera. S, with the supervision of Asst. Lect. Laxmikant.
