On 13th June 2022, the Faculty of Physiotherapy & Allied Health Sciences Remembered the deeds, sacrifices, and courage of Havaldar Yashvir Singh Tomar on his Balidan Diwas. Havaldar Yashvir Singh fought bravely and got martyred with a grenade and a rifle in his hands in The Battle of Tololing. We in Subharti always keep the feeling of patriotism alive in our hearts by remembering the balidan of great freedom fighters and martyrs of battlefields because of whom we live in harmony and comfort of our home. To keep the feeling of patriotism alive in the students an enthusiastic talk on the life of Havaldar Yashvir Singh was delivered by Dr. Jasmine Anandabai, Dean & Principal, Faculty of Physiotherapy & Allied Health Sciences, to the students of BPT-2020 Batch in the Sanskriti Department of SVSU.
Through these small gatherings, the spirit of patriotism and the vision of our founder Dr. Atul Krishna can be kept alive today and for our future generations. The interaction with the students on the importance of armed forces in the country, and their role in the Kargil War. She also highlighted the life of Havaldar Yashvir Singh and his in-replicable words in the last few hours of his life “Sahib 11 jarahe hain aur 11 jeet kar lautenge.” His bravery and motivational words were the reason behind the victory of the battle of Tololing and were one of the first major victories during the Kargil war. Also, for his act of bravery on the battlefield, Havaldar Yashvir Singh Tomar was given the nation’s third-highest gallantry award, “Vir Chakra” posthumously. The students also expressed their views and sang the songs of praise of such brave and great martyrs. Mandeep Yadav student of BPT-2020 said that “azadi keliye jo kurban hue unhe toh har koi yaad rakhta hai par jo hamare liye jo harwaqt border pe tainat hai unhe kaun yaad rakta hai.”To mark the day with good deeds the students, faculty, and Dean & Principal of JRPSCPT organized chabeel outside Sanskriti Department for the workers, laborers, kids, and non-teaching staff of SVSU with the collaboration and cooperation of Mr. Vivek Sanskriti, Head, Sanskriti Department, SVSU.
